Main Street United Methodist Church Scholarship Funds
General Information
Through the generosity of former Main Street United Methodist Church members, endowments have been created for funding college scholarships. An application must be submitted by the deadline each semester and must include an official transcript, copy of tuition/fees statement, copy of dormitory or rental lease agreements, copy of your family’s latest Federal Income Tax Return The application must be signed by the applicant, a parent or guardian, and church pastor. Claire Huneycutt Sands Memorial Scholarship
The Claire Huneycutt Sands Memorial Scholarship is available for members of the United Methodist Church residing in the Reidsville vicinity (a map defining the vicinity is available) and attending an accredited institution of higher learning in the state of North Carolina and seeking an undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate, and/or a graduate degree. These scholarships are available for Fall, Spring, and Summer. Summer Camp Scholarships are also available for youth with the same criteria of residing in the Reidsville vicinity and the camp in North Carolina
Ellen Garner Scholarship
The Ellen Garner Scholarship is available for members of Main Street United Methodist Church or their children and grandchildren who are attending institutions of higher learning seeking an undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate, and/or graduate degree in the fields of Ministry or Education. The children and grandchildren are not required to be members of the United Methodist Church nor reside in a specified area. These scholarships are available for Fall, Spring and Summer.
Anne E Wootton Scholarship
The Anne E Wootton Scholarship is available only for members of Main Street United Methodist Church who are not eligible for other Main St scholarships. The scholarships are for those enrolled in accredited institutions of higher learning seeking undergraduate degrees, diplomas or certificates, and for graduate degrees regardless of location There are no residency boundaries. These scholarships are only available for Fall and Spring semesters
